Vision

Elucid is the most sophisticated dream interpretation system ever built — and it is free to start.

For millennia, humans have recorded their dreams and sought to understand them. Priests, analysts, physicians, and mystics each developed deep frameworks — but those frameworks were siloed, untested against each other, and inaccessible to most people. Elucid changes that.

Our Mission

We exist to make research-grade dream interpretation accessible to every person who wants it. Not a dream dictionary. Not a chatbot that free-associates. A serious instrument for self-understanding that treats both ancient wisdom and modern neuroscience with equal intellectual respect.

Elucid runs twelve interpretive traditions in parallel, cross-references them, identifies convergence and divergence, and presents the results with full source citations — in language that is honest about what we know and what we do not.

We believe dreams are a legitimate subject of serious inquiry. We are here to build the best possible tool for that inquiry.

Twelve Interpretive Traditions

No single system sees the whole dream. Each tradition is a lens — the power comes from layering them, finding where they agree, and understanding why they diverge.

How We Work

01

Epistemic Humility

The Service never states "this dream means X." It presents possibilities, cites sources, and invites your own reflection. You are the final authority on the meaning of your dreams.

02

Research-Grade Rigor

Every interpretation includes source citations. Framework predictions are testable and falsifiable. Statistical analysis uses p-values, effect sizes, and confidence intervals where applicable.

03

Privacy by Architecture

All dream content is encrypted at rest using AES-256-GCM with user-derived keys. We cannot read your dreams. This is not a policy choice — it is a technical reality.

04

Cultural Sensitivity

Indigenous and traditional frameworks are handled with care. We use only authorized published sources and provide explicit cultural context. No tradition is reduced to a dictionary.

05

Open Science

We publish our methodology, pre-register studies through the Open Science Framework, and report negative results with the same rigor as positive ones.

06

Accessibility

Research-grade analysis should not be locked behind expensive therapy or academic paywalls. Elucid is free to start — sophisticated interpretation for everyone.

Open Science Commitment

Elucid publishes its interpretive methodology. Studies are pre-registered through the Open Science Framework before data collection begins. We report null results and negative findings with the same rigor as confirmatory results. No p-hacking. No selective reporting.

We believe the field of dream research deserves the same standards of transparency that the broader scientific community has begun to demand of itself.

Support the Work

Elucid is built by a small independent team. If the project resonates with you, consider supporting us on Ko-fi. Every contribution helps keep the free tier free.
